Prohibited Merchants & Blocked Transactions
This article explains which merchants, transaction types, and usage behavior are restricted on SolCard cards.
SolCard currently offers two card types:
Platinum SolCard
Mastercard Online
Restrictions vary depending on the card type.
Platinum SolCard
Platinum cards offer broader merchant support, but certain categories remain restricted due to compliance and AML requirements.
Restricted Categories
Pornography
Gambling & betting
Drugs or controlled substances
Medical devices or equipment
Money services and quasi-cash transactions
Most restricted transactions will simply be declined.
Repeated abuse or attempts to bypass restrictions may still result in card cancellation or account action.
Mastercard Online
Mastercard Online cards operate under stricter risk and compliance controls.
Transactions involving restricted merchants or usage behavior may result in immediate cancellation and frozen funds.
Commonly Blocked Merchants
Examples include:
PayPal
Wise
Binance
Eneba
OffGamers
Netflix
Starlink
Bolt
OnlyFans
Gift card and gaming platforms
Food delivery services
Crypto-related services
Additional merchants may also be restricted.
Restricted Usage Behavior
The following behavior will trigger automatic cancellation:
10 consecutive declines due to insufficient balance
A decline rate above 20%
Repeated attempts at blocked merchants

Important Information
Restrictions are enforced automatically by issuing partners and risk systems
Mastercard Online cards are subject to stricter controls
Certain merchants may be blocked even if they are not listed publicly
